Born and raised in the Big Easy by my mom and her parents, I was heavily influenced by my grandmother’s business savvy despite the fact she did not have traditional schooling. She owned food trucks, cabs, a cleaning service, bars, daycare and dabbled in real estate. So off I went to Howard University to study business to be like her. After college I got married, had Irish twins and became a stay at home mom until a divorce brought me back to the workforce.

I love my current job as an analyst but I am obsessed with interior design thus my journey to open Nicole Lee Design. My love of designing dates back to my teenage years when I painted my bedroom pink and created a gallery wall of Prince pictures.

When I walk into a space, I immediately start rearranging furniture in my head and sometimes provide unsolicited advice.  My family and friends often describe me as the design whisperer because I can look at one piece and see the vision for an entire room.

No matter who I’m designing for, my goal is the same, a beautiful space at an affordable price.
